How Florivera’s calendula works?
Carotenoids help protect the skin from the irritation caused by external factors like harsh weather conditions, free radicals and pollutants.
They also help protect the skin against the damaging effects of the sun, makes sense since the Calendula flower itself is resilient to sun damage! The amount of carotenoids in a product depend on the flower, place of cultivation and time of harvesting.

Why we use an ointment and not a cream
Ointments form barriers to prevent water loss while creams are more quickly absorbed into the skin
Ointments are a semi-solid formulation more similar to sebum naturally produced on the skin’s surface
Ointments can be preservative-free while creams are water based and must contain preservatives, water or alcohol, which can further irritate the skin
The Technical Process
The marigold flowers are separated petal by petal.
The petals are put to dry at 40 to 80° C avoiding humidity. When they are dry they are put to macerate (gentle hand massage) with sustainable palm kernel oil.
The petals are left to macerate for two weeks, after which they are preheated for filtering and completion of the concentration process.
The drying step is of great importance in the preservation of the active principles, which is why it is necessary to dry the marigold flowers as soon as possible after harvest to prevent the loss of the precious and healthy compounds of the plant. This obtains the highest yield of carotenoids and flavonoids.

How Do You Use The Calendula Soothing Balm
Gently apply to affected area as soon as possible until absorbed. Repeat 2-3 times daily or as needed. Use it as a daily moisturizer for dry skin and apply a thin layer to desired areas.
How Fast Will It Work
